What is DSSSB Vacancy?

The full form of DSSSB is Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. It organizes state-level recruitment exams for various posts every year under the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi). DSSSB conducts the recruitment drive for the posts of PGT, TGT, Assistant Teacher (Primary), Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Counselor, Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDC), Head Clerk, Patwari, etc.

The candidates must be between 17 to 32 years of age to apply for various posts under DSSSB Recruitment . The selection procedure for the DSSB Recruitment involves three stages- One Tier Exam, Two-Tier Exam, and Skill Test.

 Eligibility CriteriaThe Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has set different eligibility criteria for various posts under the DSSSB Recruitment . The candidates must be familiar with DSSSB eligibility criteria before applying for a particular post.

Educational Qualification

PRT Nursery
  • The candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary level of schooling or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have a Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education program with a duration of 2 years.
  • Candidates who have a B.Ed. (Nursery) degrees from a recognized institute are also eligible.
  • The candidates must have studied Hindi at the Secondary Level.
PRT
  • The candidate must have completed their Senior Secondary level of schooling (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • The candidate must have a 2-year Diploma in elementary education and must have qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
PGT
  • The candidate must have completed a Master’s Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in the respective subjects.
  • The candidates must have a Degree / Diploma in Training /Education from a recognized university.
TGT
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university in the concerned subject.
  • They must have completed a B.Ed. degree from a recognized university and must have passed in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Head Clerk The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with computer proficiency.
Patwari The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream to apply for this post.
Counsellor The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in psychology or applied psychology.

DSSSB Application

The DSSSB Recruitment application form will be released on the official website. The application process for the DSSSB recruitment is completely online. No other method of application will be accepted by the board. The candidates must follow the instructions carefully before applying.

 

How to Apply  for DSSSB ?

Step 1: Online Registration Process or Login

  • Visit the official website of DSSSB.
  • Click on the link ‘DSSSB Recruitment Online Application’.
  • Register yourself by filling up the required details such as the Name, Date of Birth, email address and mobile number.
  • On successful registration, the candidate will receive the registration number and password.

Step 2: Filling up the Application Form

  • Login using the registration number and password.
  • Fill up the application form giving out the personal, category, educational, and job experience details.
  • Recheck the details carefully.

Step 3: Upload the Documents & Fee Payment

  • Upload the scanned copies of the latest passport-size photograph and signature of the candidate in the format specified.
  • Review the application form after filling out all of the required fields.
  • Click the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Pay the application fees online via SBI e-pay option.
  • Take a printout of the application form for future references.

Admit Card

The DSSSB will release the DSSSB Admit Card approximately two weeks before the exam. DSSSB admit card will be available on the official website of the board. One must carry the admit card along with them to the examination centre.

How to Download DSSSB Admit Card?

The steps to download the DSSSB admit card are listed below:

  • Visit the official website of DSSSB.
  • Click the ‘Generate/ Print e- Admit Card’ option.
  • Enter the Registration number, Date of Birth/Password, and captcha code.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • The DSSSB recruitment  admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the admit card and take a printout of the same for future references.

 

Exam Pattern

The DSSSB Recruitment exam will be conducted offline. DSSSB recruitment exam is divided into two parts: Tier I and Tier II. However, the Tier II test and Skill Test may not be valid for all the posts recruited under DSSSB recruitment process.

  • Both the Tier I and Tier II of DSSSB Recruitment exam have two sections.
  • The duration of the DSSSB Recruitment exam is 3 hours.
  • Section A involves objective type questions and includes five subjects- English, Reasoning, Mathematics Aptitude, General Awareness, and Hindi. Section A holds 100 marks.
  • Section B involves MCQs of the respective subject as per the chosen post and accounts for 200 marks in total.
  • For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded, while for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
