Is CTET Compulsory for PRT Teacher in KVS Recruitment ? Everyone is asking the same question after the recruitment notification of KV School recruitment has been published. As the CTET was not mandatory for the PRT teaches recruitment in the previous year KVS notification, but in the notification of this year recruitment, the CTET is made compulsory for all the candidates.

KVS PRT Teacher Education Eligibility Criteria

Essential:
1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
                                          Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
                                         Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education 

2. Qualified in the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) conducted by the Govt. of India. (But not sure about whether the appearing can apply or not)

3. Proficiency to teach through Hindi & English media.

Desirable:  Knowledge of working on Computer.

Can B.Ed appearing apply for KVS?

Yes, B. Ed and CTET both are mandatory for the KVS TGT Post.

(a) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

(b) Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate.
