Nabard Upcoming Exams

NABARD Exam:

NABARD which is an abbreviation for National bank for Agriculture and Rural Development is a Government bank for the overall regulation and licensing of Regional Rural Banks. It is an apex Financial Institution under the Ministry of Finance.

Headquartered in Mumbai, it was established on 12 July 1982 under the recommendations of the B. Sivaraman Committee. The bank is an important institution founded for the issues relating to policy-making, strategy, and operations and for solving the problems in the areas of credit for agricultural and other economic activities in Indian rural regions.

NABARD Grade A Eligibility:

Education Qualifications:

The education requirements are different for different posts. They are described as follows:

Posts Educational Qualification
Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in Information Technology/Computer Technology/Computer Science/Computer Applications from a recognised institute/university with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Agriculture Engineering Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
General Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised Institute/University with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a bachelor’s degree with a Ph.D./CA/CS/CWA. OR a 2-year full-time MBA degree or full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Management from an Institute recognised by the Government of India / UGC, plus a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
General Agriculture Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Food Processing Bachelor’s degree / Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Food Processing /Food Technology with at least 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in food processing/food technology from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% (relaxation of 5% will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants) in aggregate.
Land Development – Soil Science Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in Agriculture/Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Agriculture Engineering Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Agriculture marketing/Agri-Business Management Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management/Agriculture Marketing with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be given to SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR two years of full-time study Post Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Degree/ MBA in Agriculture Marketing/ Agriculture Business Management from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Environment A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science as a subject and a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in environmental engineering or environmental science from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Chartered Accountant Membership in the ICAI and graduation in any discipline from a recognised institute/university (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India membership must be received on or before January 1, 2022.
Geo Informatics In aggregate, a B Tech/BE/Bs.C. degree in Geo-Informatics with a minimum of 50% marks (a 5% relaxation will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR an M. Tech./M.E./Ms.C. degree in Geoinformatics from a recognised university/institute with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Statistics Bachelor’s degree in statistics with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (relaxation of 5% will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in statistics from a recognised institute/university with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Agricultural Economics/Economics Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Economics/Economics with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in Agriculture Economics/ Economics from a recognised university/ institute with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
Company Secretary Associate membership in ICSI and a bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Institute of Company Secretaries of India ). The Institute of Company Secretaries of India membership must be obtained on or before January 1, 2022.
Human Resource Management Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in BBM (Human Resource Management), BBA (Human Resource Management), or BMS (Human Resource Management) (Relaxation of 5% would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR, a two-year full-time MBA in HRM or HR/a two-year full-time postgraduate diploma in HRM/HR management from a recognised institute/university.
Finance Bachelor’s degree in finance/banking, such as BMS (Finance/Banking) or BBA (Finance/Banking) with at least 50% in aggregate (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a two-year full-time MBA (Finance) / full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Finance) / a degree from a University/Institute recognised by the Government of India / the University Grants Commission. OR a bachelor’s degree in finance and investment analysis with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/PWD applicants will be granted a 5% relaxation).

Age limits

The minimum age limit o apply to NABARD Grade A is 21 years. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years as of the date specified in the official notification. Here is the age relaxation for NABARD Grade-A  exam:

How to apply ?

Step 1- Registration 

  • Go to the official website www.nabard.com
  • Go to the career section on the left header and click on the apply option and a new page will be opened
  • Now click on the job link ” click here for new registration”.
  • Fill in the details required in the form, such as name, contact details, and mail id. make sure that all the information that is provided is true and correct
  • A provisional registration number will be generated along with the password and will be sent via mail or SMS

Step 2- Fill the application form

  • Candidates are required to fill in the required details such as personal and educational details
  • Before final submission candidates are required to check the details and click on the “save and next” button so that details are saved
  • Candidates can modify the details before final submission
  • Candidates would not be able to make changes in the application form after clicking on the ” final submit button”

Step 3 – Upload the Required Documents:

Candidates are required to upload the documents mentioned in the notification such as :

  • A recent scanned passport size photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Scanned left thumb impression
  • Scanned handwritten declaration, the format of the declaration is annexed with the official notification
  • You can view the uploaded documents by clicking on the “preview” option and after verifying all the information click on the “final submit” option.
  • The payment window will be opened next

Step 4 – Payment of Application Fee

  • Click on the payment button to proceed to the payment of the applicable fee to complete the application process
  • Payment is made through online mode only using Ru pay debit or credit card/master or visa card or internet banking, IMPScash cards/mobile wallets, etc.
  • After filling in the details for payment, it will ask you to wait while the payment is being processed and don’t refresh the page or click on the back button
  • After the completion of the payment, an e-receipt will be generated. Take a printout of the same and keep it for future reference.

NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern

The selection procedure for various NABARD grade A posts is done in three stages –

  • Interview
  • Mains exam
  • Preliminary exam

Prelims Exam Pattern

The first step in the process is the prelims exam, which is of qualified nature as in the final selection, marks obtained in the prelims exam will not be counted. It contains 200 multiple-type questions. For every wrong answer, 25% marks are deducted. Two hours are provided for this exam.

NABARD Grade A Mains Exam Pattern

Candidates who have qualified for the prelims appear for the mains exam. Generally, four times the total number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam based on the cut-off. It contains two papers:

  • Paper 1 – General English common for all, it is a descriptive paper
  • Paper 2 – General Post-Economic and Social issues and Agriculture and Rural Development

Marking Scheme:

  • Paper two will be multiple choice type.
  • For every wrong answer, 25% or 1/4 marks will be deducted as negative marking

Prelims:

The syllabus of NABARD Grade A  are described below:

Reasoning Sentence based questions, verbal reasoning, syllogism, coding-decoding, input-output, inequality, blood relations, data sufficiency, puzzles, seating arrangements, and miscellaneous questions
Numerical ability- quantitative Simplification/approximation, data interpretation, number series, quadratic equations, data sufficiency, mathematical inequalities, quality comparisons, etc.
Computer History and generations of computer, shortcut keys, input-output devices, networking, MS office, DBMS, and internet
General awareness Current affairs relating to banking, economy, and insurance, honours, and awards, national and international news, new schemes, developments in science and technology

 

Selection Process

There are three main important sections in NABARD Grade A Selection Process. They are as follows:

NABARD Grade A Preliminary Exam:-

This is the Phase 1 of the selection process. The preliminary exam will consists of objective type questions.

NABARD Grade A Mains Exam:-

Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will receive a call letter for the Mains Exam, also known as Phase 2 Exam.

NABARD Grade A Interview:-

The candidates who have qualified for the mains examination will be called for a personal interview round and document verification. The interview contains 25 marks. Generally, Double the number of the total vacancies are selected based on cut-off.

The final result is prepared after combining the marks obtained in the mains examination and personal interview.

How do I check my NABARD Grade A result?

  • To begin, go to the official NABARD website, nabard.org.
  • Now, on the NABARD main page, click on the link for the result (For Pre/ Mains).
  • After clicking, a new page will display, with the results in the form of a new PDF file.
  • Now go ahead and download the file.
  • Check the result using the Registration number that was given to you during the registration procedure.
  • Take a printout of the result as well for future use.

 Expected Cutoff

After the result for NABARD Grade A is published, the cut-off will be made available on the official website in an online format. The processes to download the cutoff list are outlined below.

How do I get a copy of the cutoff list?

  • First and foremost, visit the official website.
  • On the home page, look for the “cut-off” link and click it.
  • The cut-off list will be in PDF format.
  • A new page for the cutoff list will display on the screen after you click the link.
  • Check the cutoff marks, compare your results to the cutoff, and save the cutoff list for future use.

Salary and Benefits

NABARD Grade “A” Salary Structure- Comprises a fixed Salary of Pay Scale and the Structure is declared depending on the level of Pay Scale. Below is the table description of the Assistant Manager Grade “A” Salary Structure:

The Basic Salary beginning with an amount of INR 28,150, on which the allowances are attached to this amount.
