What is IPPB ?
The full form IPPB is India Post Payments Bank. It is a government-owned banking sector undertaken by the Department of Posts. IPPB conducts a recruitment exam to recruit eligible candidates for respective designations in IPPB. Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidates who are bearing citizenship of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibetan refugees can also apply for the examination.
- A refugee who came over to India before January 1962 January is eligible to appear in the examination.

How to Fill the IPPB Recruitment Application Form?
- Step 1: Visit the official website of IPPB. (https://www.indiapost.gov.in)
- Step 2: Click on the link “India Post Payments Bank” under the “Banking & Remittance” tab.
- Step 3: Click on the tab “Work with IPPB”.
- Step 4: Search and click on the tab “India Post Payments Bank Current Opening “.
- Step 5: Read the instructions carefully before filling up the application form.
- Step 6: Click on ‘Apply Online’.
- Step 7: Fill in the basic details carefully.
- Step 8: Upload the Signature and Photograph of the candidate.
- Step 9: Verify the information before submitting the form.

Admit Card
The IPPB Admit card will be released online mode on the official website of IPPB two or three weeks prior to the exam. Exam Pattern
The candidates must be thoroughly clear with the IPPB Exam Pattern in order to score better and crack the exam. The IPPB Recruitment process involves three stages:
- IPPB Prelims Exam
- IPPB Mains Exam
- Interview
Both the written papers are objective type, i.e, in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. Each question will carry 1 mark and 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
IPPB Prelims Exam Pattern
The IPPB Prelims Exam comprises of English language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning ability sections. This paper consists of 100 questions and the duration to solve the paper is 60 minutes. The candidates will have to qualify the prelims exam to appear for IPPB Mains.

IPPB Mains Exam Pattern
IPPB Mains exam comprises the following sections – English language, Quantitative aptitude, Computer knowledge, General Awareness and Reasoning ability. IPPB Mains exam consists of 200 questions and the duration of the exam is 140 minutes.

IPPB Interview Round
- The candidates who will clear the IPPB Prelims and Mains exam will be called for an Interview round.
- The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
- In this round, the personality estimation and internal skills of candidates are analyzed. Candidates are called for an interview session with respective offer letters from the exam body.

Prelims Cutoffs :
The candidates who will score the minimum cutoff marks in the IPPB Prelims will qualify for the IPPB Mains exam. IPPB releases the cutoff for both Prelims and Mains exams. The candidates need to score the minimum cut-off set by the authorities to proceed to the next level of selection, i.e, the Interview round.

Selection Process :
IPPB Recruitment involves three stages of the selection process:
- Stage-I: Preliminary Exam
- Stage-II: Mains Exam
- Stage-III: Interview
The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.
IPPB also reserves the right to conduct Assessment, Group Discussion or Online Tests in addition to the interview. The final merit list will be displayed online with the names of all selected candidates.
The average basic pay of a candidate recruited under the IPPB Recruitment is INR 23,700 per month. The candidates are subjected to receive various allowances in addition to the basic pay. The Gross In-hand salary of an IPPB official is INR 47, 433.
