Indian Navy new flag: Indian Navy new flag has been changed for the 4th time. The British-dominated flag was scrapped for the Indian Navy and a new flag with the emblem of Maharaja Chhatrapati Shivaji was introduced today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the new flag to the Navy at a ceremony in Kochi.

Prior to this, the old flag had the St. George’s Cross sign and the national flag on it. The flag has been removed and now the tricolor flag has the national emblem and the anchor symbol in the octagon.

The Colonial St. George’s Cross was dropped for Chhatrapati Shivaji’s seal on the new Indian Navy flag. The earlier naval flag was having a red stripe and cross on a white cloth. It was the symbol of St. George. On the right side of its flag was the national flag.

The new flag for Karpadi which has been introduced now has the national flag on the upper left side of the flag, an octagonal frame and golden color. The octagon is colored in dark blue. It has the national symbol, Sathyame Jayate, engraved in gold. The flag is set as if the national emblem is placed on the anchor.

The octagon in the naval flag represents the 8 directions. The anchor sign signifies that we are free from the domination of shoes and are completely free. The dark blue color on the flag signifies the Indian Navy’s maritime prowess

According to the Navy, the octagon in the flag was given two borders after looking at the Chatrapati Shivaji Rajamutra. The flag has been changed for the 4th time after 1950. On January 26, 1950, the flag was transferred to the Navy for the first time. Prior to that only the St. George Cross was red. The national flag is engraved on it. This sign remained until 2001. Then on August 15, 2001, the flag was changed during the regime of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was then Prime Minister. The change of flag was made on the advice of Vice Admiral Vivian Barbosa. Then in April 2004, the old flag was brought back and blue color was added.

But after the Congress party came to power, the naval flag was changed and the St. George Cross was brought back and the national flag and national emblem were added to it. In this case, the flag has been changed as a whole under Prime Minister Modi’s rule.
