Cambridge is the first university in the UK to have no classes in the next semester and will only study online. Harvard University has also made 67 online courses free for students from all over the world. The duration of these courses is from one to 12 weeks. Among these, there are many courses, whose fees range from 2000 to 2.5 lakh rupees in normal days.
The university said on Tuesday – Due to existing situation with Coronavirus, it seems that social distancing is necessary to continue. Especially for the next academic session, which will start from October 2020 until the summer of 2021. The decision to study online will be reviewed according to the guidelines issued on Coronavirus.
Study in small groups:
Cambridge said that online lectures will be taught through small teaching groups and social distancing will be taken care of in this work too. Can be allowed face to face in tutorials and small group classes. University officials believe that these sessions are possible with students sitting at a safe distance from each other.
Emphasis on online education worldwide
According to a New York Times report, schools, colleges and universities around the world are studying whether to proceed with classes on campus next semester. For example, some schools in the US are preparing to test students and bring them back to campus to track infection.
Some universities have decided not to take in-person classes on campus. America’s fourth largest California State University has also said that classes will be exclusively in online mode in the next semester. There may be some exceptions depending on the requirement of Science and Nursing Lab. In Canada too, McGill and several other universities in Montreal have said that most of the courses will be online in the next semester.
