IBPS PO Eligibility :
IBPS PO Nationality:
The candidate must be any of the following to be considered as eligible for the IBPS PO Examination-
- Citizen of India;
- The subject of Nepal;
- The subject of Bhutan;
- Tibetan Refugee who came over to India prior to the 1st of January, 1962 with the intention of residing here permanently;
- A person who is a native Indian or of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries i.e. (Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania) and/or Vietnam and Zaire with the intention of residing in India permanently. In addition to this, he/she shall also receive the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Age Limit
- Minimum age limit- 20 years
- Maximum age limit- Not more than 30 years
IBPS PO Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is offered to certain categories and the same has been mentioned below in the tabular form.

Educational Qualification
All the candidates interested in IBPS PO must have one of the two educational qualifications
- The candidate must possess a graduation degree in any field/discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India
- Any equivalent qualification of the above mentioned is recognized by the Central Government.
Application Form
Steps to apply for the IBPS PO :
- Visit the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in.
- Click on the tab saying IBPS PO Recruitment notification, the IBPS PO Recruitment Application Form will open.
- Fill in all the required details accurately as per your certificates and documents and also double-check the same before submitting.
- Upload scanned photograph and signature.
- Post submitting the application form, click on the link to the new registration after clicking on the link of the recruitment.
- Your registration number and password will be generated.
- After registration and filling out the application form, submit the application fee pertaining to your category through the online fee payment procedure.
- Print the application form for future purposes.

Selection Process
The IBPS PO selection process involves 3 stages to be cleared in order to be selected. The 3 stages along with relevant details have been given below.
- Prelims- The Prelims are regarded as an exam of qualifying nature. Only those candidates qualifying the prelims shall be eligible for the mains. The marks obtained in this stage shall not be added to the marks which are taken into account during the final selection.
- Mains- The candidate is required to secure the minimum cut-off marks in order to clear this stage. Only those candidates who clear this stage shall be called for the interview stage. The marks obtained in this stage shall be taken into account while deciding the marks for the final selection.
- Interview- Interview is the last stage. This will be a face to face interaction wherein the candidate will be asked questions by a panel of members and on the basis of the marks obtained in both mains and the interview, the list of the officially selected candidates will be finalized.

The IBPS PO Exam Pattern consists of three stages that the candidate needs to clear being- Prelims, Main and the interview round.

Descriptive Test Pattern
The descriptive test includes 2 sections, the same will carry a total of 25 marks with a time limit of 30 minutes to attempt.
- Letter Writing- The candidates can be asked to write a formal, semi-formal, informal, letter based on general topics, banking awareness and current affairs.
- Essay Writing- An essay is a long article on any topic. The topics may range from descriptive, current affairs, contemporary issues, narrative, argumentative etc.
