All these degrees have now been validated. The degree of these institutions was invalidated by NCTE by conducting these courses without recognition. Due to this, the future of all these was at stake. At the same time, about 17 thousand working teachers and about 13 students were included in these 30 thousand people.
Meanwhile, the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), an organization associated with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, has issued a notification to recognize the degrees related to teacher training of students pursuing these courses before the academic session 2017-18 from all such 23 institutions in the country. The HRD Minister said that the problem was going on for a long time.
Meanwhile, Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that this problem related to students and teachers was going on for a long time. This information was brought to the notice only recently. After which the Ministry has taken a quick decision. Please tell that due to lack of knowledge, these 23 institutions of the country connected with the central and state government started a teacher training course without permission from NCTE. Whereas under the rules, no institute can start such courses without permission from NCTE. The degrees of institutions doing so would be invalid.
So at the same time, the 18-month D.El.D course of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will now be valid in the recruitment of teachers. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday blocked the long-running dispute with the teachers. Also said that the court order will be respected. Instructions have been given to NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). This decision of the Ministry has given a big relief to about 15 lakh teachers across the country who have done this course. Now he will be able to appear for the recruitment of teachers on the basis of this course.
